ISLAND PARK, NY (WCBS 880) - A Long Island woman wants help finding homes for her sick aunt's cats.

Corbett says she had to make a tough decision recently. Her aunt has the early stages of Alzheimer's Disease and will soon be in an assisted living facility.

The problem is that the aunt took care of kittens and cats - 12 all together.

Corbett, of Island Park, says, for weeks she has been calling shelter after shelter, trying to find homes for the furry friends, but the shelters are full.

Cathy hopes someone listening will want to add one of the pets to their home, saying, "There is a momma cat. They call her Spunky because she is."

Anyone who wants to help can contact her at cathycorbett5@optonline.net
