Body Of Missing New Jersey Swimmer Recovered

ASBURY PARK, N.J. (AP) -- Officials say the body of a New Jersey swimmer who went missing was recovered Thursday morning.

Asbury Park fire official Garrett Giberson says surfers spotted Franky Lezin's body floating in a circle rip tide about 60 to 70 yards off the city's casino.

The city's beach safety supervisor brought the body ashore.

The 23-year-old was last seen swimming about two blocks south after lifeguards went off duty Tuesday night.

Officials suspended their search on Wednesday because of rough water conditions generated by Hurricane Earl.
