Coyote Killed In Westchester Was Rabid

RYE, N.Y. (CBS 2/WCBS 880) -- Testing has determined that the coyote killed in Westchester earlier this week was rabid.

CBS 2 obtained exclusive video of the animal moments before it was shot Monday morning.

The coyote was hunted by animal control officers after the father of a two-year-old was bitten and a teenager was nearly attacked on Sunday night.

It's the first confirmed report of a rabid coyote in Westchester.
