Man Faces Weapons Charges After Speeding Stop

NEW YORK (CBS 2) — A Yonkers man, stopped by police for speeding, has more to worry about than a moving violation.

Yonkers police said 34-year-old Lazaro Martinez was charged with driving while intoxicated Monday and taken into custody.

Then they searched his car.

In the trunk, they found a Colt Carbine rifle and two fully-loaded magazines.

As a result, Martinez was facing weapons possession charges in addition to DWI.

I guess it’s too early, “Johnny”. I’m still waiting for the imbecile to log in and ignore all laws or Rights and screetch: IT’S A GUN! IT’S A GUN!

You know there will always be an ignoramus who willingly gives up their Rights for a temporary sense of Security. I believe Ben Franklin had commented on those type of people once.

I guess he found out the hard way that NYC routinely makes up it’s own laws when it comes to the 2nd Amendment. A rifle, the horror!
