3 Armed Men Wanted in Fairfield, Conn. Bank Heist

FAIRFIELD, CT (WCBS 880) - Three gunmen entered the Fairfield County Savings Bank on Bronson Road and, according to police, the three tied up four bank employees, helping themselves to money behind the counter and then took off.

LISTEN: WCBS 880 Connecticut Bureau Chief Fran Schneidau reports

Lt. James Perez says this was a professional job by gunmen who made it impossible for the workers to describe them.

"These individuals were wearing black masks. They entered and were dressed in black," Perez told WCBS 880 Connecticut Bureau Chief Fran Schneidau. "Understandably, some of the employees are shaken. So, we're trying to get as best a description as we could from them."

Perez the gunmen ditched the getaway car at the I-95 rest stop in Fairfield.

There is no telling, he says, what kind of car they took off in from there.
