ELIZABETH, N.J. (CBS 2) – Police were still investigating a night shooting involving officers in New Jersey Saturday.

At least one person was wounded when shots rang out at Vine Street and Newcomb Place around 9 p.m.

Published reports said officers opened fire while responding to a disturbance, however it’s not known who shot the wounded.

Investigators have not commented on the cause of the disturbance.
