With the Yankees pulling even with the Rays last night, the guys once again opened up a Football Friday Edition of the Boomer & Carton Morning Extravaganza talking about the Bombers and the interesting dilemma they find themselves in.  After already locking up a birth in the postseason, now Joe Girardi and the Yankee organization have to decide if they should press on and try to win the AL East crown.  Boomer & Craig discussed the envious situation the Yanks are in and then they talked about Tiki Barber, who will be inducted into the 'Giants Ring of Honor' Sunday night.  Tiki showed his gratitude to the organization by taking shots at his former Head Coach Tom Coughlin, which should lead to an interesting reception Sunday night when he is introduced to the Big Blue faithful…

Plus, Craig isn't a fan of Rangers Head Coach John Tortorella's coaching style, Lou in Staten Island waits patiently to ask his Mets question, Mathias Kiwanuka answers a few tough questions, Bills starting QB Ryan Fitzpatrick,  monkeys policing monkeys, Al performs his new Jets song LIVE in-studio, Yanks GM Brian Cashman checks in a little late, Steve Tasker, a Moment from Jerry, the guys Picks-Picks-Picks and an 'Attention Grabber' you could run into…

A listener called in and suggested the guys talk more hockey, specifically the NY Rangers.  So Craig made his feelings about the Blue Shirts Head Coach John Tortorella and his coaching style known and then reiterated that he wants to have 'Tort's' in-studio for a little face-to-face, which will certainly be interesting.  Speaking of coaching, Craig thinks based on Boomer's background, that the Blonde Bomber needs a coaching figure in his life, even at the ripe old age of 49.  Then we heard from a man that needs more than a coach to keep him on the straight and narrow, I'm talking of course about our resident update anchor, Jerry 'Rello/Rico' Recco…

It had been a while since we heard from one of our favorite callers, good ole Lou in Staten Island.  Lou had been away so long that it seemed he forgot how the Boomer & Carton morning Experience works…

Mathias Kiwanuka was heading to the Stadium early this morning in the rain and he took the time to give Boomer & Craig a call to help pass the time.  He talked about the Bears, the Giants opponent this Sunday night and the overall state of the team that is off to a 1-2 start.  Craig also asked Kiwanuka if he agrees with him, that his former teammate Tiki Barber is a douche, Mathias and Tiki played together in 2006.  We also heard his thoughts on his teammate Brandon Jacobs' helmet ending up in the crowd a couple of weeks back in Indianapolis…

Next the guys were joined by one of the smartest players in the National Football League, Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.  Considering the Jets will play the Bills on Sunday, a pretty timely booking by Al Dukes.  Fitzpatrick has played for the Rams, Bengals (Who Dey!!!) and now the Bills.  He is a Harvard graduate and was pretty tight lipped about his SAT scores, which we assume were off the charts…

Al had a heck of a time coming up with a song that would capture this weekend's Jets-Bills game.  He finally settled on the 1950's hit, 'Blueberry Hill'.  As an added bonus Al put on a headset and performed the song LIVE in the studio.  Overall it wasn't received well by the staff, personally I thought it was pretty well done…

Better late than never…Al booked Yankees GM Brian Cashman to join the guys at 8:30 and talk some Yankee baseball.  When 8:30 rolled around and there was no call from Cashman, Al got a little nervous.  Turns out Cashman simply forgot that he agreed to come on, Al learned this only after tracking him down.  That has to be comforting to Yankee fans, maybe that is how the Yanks missed out on trading for Cliff Lee early this season, he forgot to call.  Anyway

Steve Tasker played in the NFL for 14 years as a wide receiver/special teamer.  He played 12 of those seasons with the Buffalo Bills.  These days he is a gamer analyst for CBS, he will work the Texans-Raiders game this Sunday in Oakland.  He joined the guys to talk a little football, but before they could get started with Tasker, they had a brief chat with the lovely Trish Stratus (pictured below), who was scheduled to join the guys for a full segment, but her visit was cut short due to some travel problems courtesy of the rain…

Jerry's highly anticipated Moment of the Day was highlighted by Craig wondering what a night out would be like with former Giants Head Coach Bill Parcells.  Parcells by the way, will not be in attendance on Sunday night, when he, along with Tiki and a host of others, will be inducted into the Giants 'Ring on Honor'…
