Long Islanders Selling Products Made On L.I.

OYSTER BAY, NY (WCBS 880) - If you want locally made products, one Oyster Bay store may have just what you're looking for.

LISTEN: WCBS 880 L.I. Bureau Chief Mike Xirinachs reports

There's something rather unique about the items sold at Think Long Island First.

"It's made by your neighbors. It's made by... somebody who may live in your town or neighboring town," Ewa Rumprecht told WCBS 880 Long Island Bureau Chief Mike Xirinachs.

Rumprecht is co-owner of the spacious village shop, that sells everything from cosmetics and jewelry to jellies and jams - all of it made on Long Island.

That, she says, is their motivation.

"If you buy things made locally, this is help to sustain Long Island long-term," she said.

Think Long Island First officially opens on Thursday, October 7.

It is located at 36 Audrey Avenue, Oyster Bay, NY 11771. Their phone number is 516-584-3155.
