Police Seek Help Finding Harlem Sex Assault Suspect

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- New York City police are asking for help to find a suspect wanted for two sexual assaults in Harlem.

The more recent of the two incidents occurred on September 26 near Manhattan Avenue and Columbus Avenue.

The suspect approached a 24-year-old woman in the early morning hours and forcibly touched her before fleeing with her cell phone. The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital with minor injuries.

The man is also suspected in another assault with nearly identical circumstances that occurred in May. The suspect approached a 30-year-old woman in an elevator and forcibly touched her before taking her cell phone. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. The assault also took place in the vicinity of Manhattan Ave. and Columbus Ave.

The suspect is described as 25-33 year-old, 6'0''-6'3'' and 205 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt with dark jeans and white sneakers
