Cops Look For Driver Of Stolen School Bus

NEW YORK (CBS 2) — The NYPD was searching Tuesday for a driver accused of going on a joy ride in a stolen school bus.

According to investigators, the suspect hopped on an empty mini school bus outside Boody Junior High School in Bensonhurst Monday afternoon and drove off.

Police said the bus sideswiped several parked cars before crashing into an s-u-v and an elevated subway pole.

The man behind the wheel jumped out and ran away.

The SUV driver and her daughter suffered minor injuries.
