Steampunk Day at Brooklyn Indie Market

Steampunk:  the literary genre that combines Victorian era style and technology with sci-fi scenarios has made its way to modern runways.

Whether you're looking for an innovative Halloween costume, or you're a true Steampunk aficionado looking to stock your closet with the latest and greatest faux Victorian garb you will love Steampunk Day.

The annual fashion event will take place Sunday, Oct. 24th at Brooklyn Indie Market.  Inside you will find clothing and accessories from the genres top designers.  Brass and Copper housewares, and all sorts of Steampunky "inventions" ready for the taking.  While you're there sit for a portrait shot with a legit Victorian era camera.

Tor Books and Tor.com will host a Steampunk Literary Corner from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m, so you can stock up on subway reading fodder.

At 4pm, take a seat and enjoy the show, a Fashion show featuring Berit New York, Kristin Costa, and Ami Nyitray Designs.
