Where's The Bus? NJ Transit Says Text To Find Out

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -- NJ Transit passengers no longer have to wonder how long before the next bus comes.

The agency's "MyBus'' system enables riders to text to find out when a bus is arriving at more than 19,000 stops.

All that's needed is a five-digit ID for their bus stop. Those are available online at njtransit.com.

Passengers text the five-digit ID to MyBus to receive the route and arrival times.

NJ Transit executive director James Weinstein says the service is part of an ongoing effort to use technology to improve access to travel information.
