B&C Show Blog & Audio: Halloween Party

Bobby Dwyer

Today's edition of the Boomer and Carton Morning Extravaganza was 'scary good'.  That is a Halloween reference, as a good majority of the staff decided to dress up for the occasion, myself not being one of them.  Al 'Hughes' Dukes' costume was so good; he fooled Craig at the start of the Show.  Boomer's Foundation (BEF) threw a Halloween party last night and Pauly D was on the wheels of steel, so the Blonde Bomber was all kinds of fired up.  In fact Boomer even came in this morning in costume, wearing a Phil Simms jersey, which according to him was a little tight in the mid-section for authenticity purposes.  Anyway, yeah it's Halloween, now let's move on.  The Mets will introduce Sandy Alderson as their new GM today and his first order of business is to hire a Manager and Craig warns the former Marine to not screw it up.  The San Francisco Giants took a 2-0 lead on the Texas Rangers last night with a 9-0 win and Craig can only imagine the frustration of Yankees fans watching what the Giants are doing to the big, bad Rangers.

Plus, Jerry is sore with Craig, 'the' Eddie Scozzare almost makes Boomer punch his old-self, the guys discuss the possibility of time-travel, Nets GM Billy King joins the Program, Packers linebacker AJ Hawk talks about idolizing Boomer, Al kisses up to Boomer and then sings his new Jets song, Kevin Millar 'cowboys-up' with the guys, former Giant Jason Sehorn proves that he is still alive, Jerry's Moment of the Day, the 'real' Phil Simms calls in, the guys Week 8 NFL Picks-Picks-Picks and a Brazilian hottie that doubles as today's 'Attention Grabber'…

Jerry delivered his first update of this Halloween special with a bit of a chip on his shoulder.  He got started reporting the Giants win over the Rangers last night in Game 2 of the World Series, but the conversation quickly shifted to Jerry's lack of Halloween costume.  Jerry informed Craig that he was indeed mad at him and provided audio to back his case…

Eddie got in the Halloween spirit and decided to dress up as Boomer Esiason, specifically Boomer after losing Super Bowl XXIII.  Needless to say, the Blonde Bomber himself was not too happy with Eddie's unique costume...

Is time travel actually possible???  An interesting clip from a 1928 Charlie Chaplin film gets Boomer & Craig talking about it…

The New Jersey Nets have made a $75,000 donation to the 'Eric LeGrand Believe Fund'.  Eric LeGrand is the Rutgers football player who was paralyzed on October 16th when the Scarlet Knights played the Army Black Knights.  Today the GM of the Nets, Billy King, joined Boomer & Craig to talk about the donation and the outlook for his Nets team this season…

AJ Hawk grew up a Bengals fan and idolized Boomer, kinda like me.  Unlike me, Hawk has gone on the play linebacker for the Green Bay Packers and with his Packers heading to New York to take on the Jets, Al booked the young Hawk to come on and boost Boomer's ego a bit and talk about Sunday's match-up with Gang Green…

Like Eddie, Al to dressed up as Boomer for Halloween (Al is the one in the middle), but he opted to get in his good graces and be the 'Maryland Boomer'.  Boomer certainly liked Al's costume a lot more than Eddie's, referencing his All-American senior campaign.  Then Al sang his brand new Jets song dressed as a young Esiason…

Between the Cablevision/Fox saga and no New York team involved, the 2010 World Series has certainly lacked the buzz of last year's Fall Classic, which is a shame really.  Kevin Millar (pictured above whoopin' it up with Manny Ramirez) won a World Series with the Red Sox back on 2004, these days he is working as an analyst for the MLB Network and he joined the guys to try and stir up some interest in Fall Classic…

Jason Sehorn played for the Giants way back before cell phones were embedded in our society.  He began his career with Big Blue back in 1994 and remained a Giant until 2002; he then played one year with the St. Louis Rams before retiring in 1995.  Since then he has pretty much disappeared from the bright lights of New York, settling in North Carolina with his lovely wife Angie Harmon and their three daughters.  He does call the Army football home games on CBS College, which came as a surprise to Boomer & Craig.  They talked with Sehorn about today's NFL, Army football and his lack of a relationship with the Giants…

Jerry must be pretty secure with his position here at WFAN, because for his highly anticipated Moment of the Day he decided to listen back to when the guys were having a little fun at the expense of our Boss…

As I mentioned earlier, the Booms dressed up as Phil Simms for Halloween today (Al 'Hughes' Dukes Photography failed to get a picture) and when the real Phil Simms got wind of Boomer's attire, he called up to find out what exactly was going on…
