It’s Neck-And-Neck In The New York 19th

MOUNT KISCO, NY (WCBS 880) – Deep in New York’s 19th Congressional District, Rep. John Hall and his challenger Dr. Nan Hayworth are neck-and-neck.

Who will win the seat in the U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday? No one knows, but both say they are working hard.

“We’re visiting diners and train stations. We are getting a wonderful reception,” Hayworth told WCBS 880 reporter Catherine Cioffi.

While Hayworth, a doctor from Mount Kisco is busy campaigning, Hall, who has been in office for just one term, says he’s cautiously optimistic about the results tomorrow.

“I always run like I’m behind. I don’t want to know about polls. I don’t want to know if I’m doing better or worse. I just work as hard as I can,” said Hall.

Hall is running as a Democrat and Hayworth is running on the Republican ticket.

  • Concerned Voter

Polling in NY 19 prior to the health care bill vote demonstrated that the majority of the voters were opposed to the bill. John Hall IGNORED his constituents and voted with the Obama/Reid/Pelosi troika instead.

The district was also opposed to the Stimulus bill, cap and trade and tarp. John Hall ignored his voters each time and voted with his party over the PEOPLE.

It is time for Hall to be shown the door!

John Hall has been in office for two terms, not one term.. Get your facts straight!

It’s neck and neck because John Hall refuses to stick out his neck for the constituents who are really hurting; the unemployed and families facing foreclosure. If he does manage to win, then the first thing he should do is fire his chief of staff.
