NEW YORK (WFAN) — New York Giants defensive lineman Chris Canty joined Boomer & Carton Thursday to recap Big Blue’s resurgence after a slow start to the season.

“The adversity that we faced earlier in the season brought us closer together,” Canty said. “You’re starting to some of the fruits of all the hard work that this football team has done.”

On new Giants safety Antrel Rolle:

“We’re excited to have him, at the same time we’re hoping he doesn’t make too many more headlines.”

On the Giants’ upcoming matchup against Seattle:

“We know what kind of environment we’re going into,” Canty said. “We’re going to have to be ready off the top to match their intensity”

On coming off a bye week:

“It came at a good time for us, guys were a little bit nicked up,” said the Giants’ defensive lineman. “At the same time we don’t have the opportunity to come out there and be lethargic. This football team that we’re playing is going to be ready to go.”

On the Dallas Cowboys’ slow start:

“You hate to see those guys go through that, because you know how hard they work. At the same time, you’ve got to earn your victories in this league.”
