Free Parking During Holidays?

NEW YORK (CBS 2) — Some local politicians want to give New Yorkers an early holiday gift: stress-free parking.

They were calling for the Transportation Department to suspend metered parking in business districts during the holiday season.

The proposal was aimed at boosting business for local shop owners.

The free parking meters would only apply in the outer boroughs and would have a two-hour limit.

Don’t the “outer” boroughs also celebrate the holidays and have people shopping in them? At last check, I could have sworn that there were 4 borough’s and not just one. Do it for all, or don’t do it at all.

  5. james says:

why only in the outer boroughs. isn’t that kind of bias
