Lowery Out Sunday, Cotchery Still Questionable

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Jets backup defensive back Dwight Lowery has been ruled out for New York's game against Houston on Sunday with a concussion.

Lowery was injured in the Jets' 26-20 overtime win Sunday at Cleveland, and coach Rex Ryan says Thursday that he has "a little ways to go there."

Wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery has not practiced for the second straight day after suffering a slight tear to his left groin. Cotchery says he did some light jogging on the field and a water treadmill, but did not practice.

Cotchery won't rule out playing Sunday, but also says he needs to be smart so he doesn't make the injury worse.

Quarterback Mark Sanchez (bruised right calf) has practiced fully and should be fine to play against the Texans.
