Woody Getting MRI On Knee, Lowery Out

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — New York Jets right tackle Damien Woody is scheduled to have an MRI exam on his injured right knee, and coach Rex Ryan says his status for the team's next game is uncertain.

Woody was injured Sunday in the first quarter of the Jets' 30-27 victory over the Houston Texans. Defensive end Mark Anderson fell onto Woody's leg while the tackle was blocking Mario Williams.

Wayne Hunter will start if Woody can't go Thursday against Cincinnati. Hunter played the final three quarters Sunday.

Ryan says defensive back Dwight Lowery has been ruled out for the second straight game with a concussion. And he didn't seem optimistic that wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery would play either, after sitting out with a groin injury.
