"Everybody's picking up the turkeys that they've ordered and a lot of people have not ordered turkeys so they're walk-in orders," a Goffle Road Poultry Farm sales woman said. "We try to get them in and out as fast as possible."

The store predicts at least 3,000 fresh turkeys will be gobbled up this holiday.

Forget frozen birds, customers lined up outside the door for the best and freshest ingredients.

"I told my husband it was going to be warm when I get home," she laughed. "He said 'Don't tell me that.'"

Once you get the turkey there's only one thing left to do: cook it. Customers shared their turkey tips with 1010 WINS' Steve Sandberg.

"I roast it and baste it methodically every 15 minutes with a timer," a woman said.

"At some point you flip it upside down and it stays juicier, because all the juice goes to the top of the turkey," a man said. "You might want to try that."
