Five Wounded During Violent Weekend In Newark
NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -- Five people have been wounded during a series of holiday weekend shootings in Newark.
But no fatalities were reported as of Sunday afternoon.
City police have released few details on the various shootings, all of which remain under investigation. And it's not known if they were connected in any way.
The latest shooting occurred early Sunday, when a 15-year-old was shot in the city's Ironbound section. That came a day after a woman was shot in the face while on a street in the city's North Ward.
