The New York Yankees held a press-conference yesterday to, I guess, reintroduce Derek Jeter to the assembled media and Yankees fans across the world. Jeter addressed the media before taking questions and he voiced his displeasure with how the negotiations were handled publically and stated that he never wanted to play anywhere other than the Bronx. Boomer & Craig were quick to point out that Jeter's agent, Casey Close, was the driving force behind the negotiations becoming back page fodder. In other press-conference news, Rex Ryan met with reporters yesterday after his Jets were bruised and battered in New England Monday night. Boomer thought Rex handled it pretty well other than comparing his team to the 1985 Chicago Bears, but I mean hey, he is an emotional guy. All of that and Craig teases a story that he says proves the Giants actually hate the Jets, more on that later…

With all of the talk about Derek Jeter and the contract he signed with the Yankees, Craig wondered how Suzyn Waldman handled the great news. Not having any contact with Suzyn himself (I don't think she likes Craig very much) Craigie decided to take liberties with what he thought her reaction might have been. Then we heard from Jerry, who praised WFAN's Yankee beat reporter Sweeny Murti for his performance at yesterday's Yankee press-conference. He also reported on Rex Ryan and Woody Johnson's reaction to Monday night's loss after having a night to sleep on it and Antrel Rolle predicting a Giants Super Bowl appearance on the mid-day show yesterday…

Early returns on the Knicks off-season moves are all good; they are off to a 13-9 start and Amar'e Stoudemire is playing like an MVP. The guys took a look at the Knicks upcoming schedule, which includes Carmelo Anthony and the Nuggets, the Celtics and the star-studded Heat. From there we heard about the Nets, who are not playing so well having lost five straight, but when Brook Lopez talks, Craig listens and then usually mocks him afterwards…

Does the Giants organization actually hate the Jets??? Craig thinks so and here is why….With the Dolphins being from Miami, they sometimes have a tough time adjusting to playing in the cold weather. With that in mind, they reached out to the Giants and asked if they would allow them to use their practice facility a day early in order to help prepare for their showdown with the Jets this Sunday. When Craig heard the Giants obliged the Dolphins request, he went ballistic and said this is proof the Giants are not only jealous of the attention the Jets have been receiving, but that they actually hate them…
