Sunday’s Giants-Eagles matchup was quite a treat if you happened to tune in… unless, of course, you’re a fan of New York’s Big Blue.
It was a collapse of Flushing, Queens proportions, as the Giants were cruising to an easy victory over Philadelphia. That is, until they choked in the final eight minutes, ultimately losing the game on DeSean Jackson’s ‘miracle’ punt return touchdown. Who is to blame for Sunday’s debacle at the Meadowlands?
On the flip side of Week 15’s coin, we have the Jets. Gang Green, who by all accounts were dead, buried, and humiliated last week, showed why they’re in the thick of the AFC playoff hunt on Sunday. Mark Sanchez stepped up his game, Rex Ryan’s much-ballyhooed defense made a crucial late-game stand, and the Jets held on for a 22-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Believe it or not, Gang Green now controls their own playoff destiny.
