Liberal Group Criticizes Christie With Parody Website

TRENTON, N.J. (AP/WCBS 880) — New Jersey’s governor is the target of a new website that criticizes his out-of-state travels, including this week’s trip to Disney World as a blizzard socked the Garden State.

The site features photos from the governor’s out-of-state campaign trips for Republican candidates altered to depict Chris Christie in a red-and-white stocking cap a la “Where’s Waldo?”

The site was launched by the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, a Washington-based liberal advocacy group.

Some Democrats criticized Christie this week for not cutting short his family’s vacation trip to Florida.

Christie spokesman Michael Drewniak said the governor was briefed on the storm situation and emergency services functioned well in the governor’s absence.

Governor Christie seems to think that getting elected was his job. He needs to get off the political campaign trail and get to work showing that his ideas have merit by implementing them. As to vacations, the top two officials of any organization should not take vacations at the same time. In my company of 40 that wouldn’t happen. I guess that prosecutors don’t make good managers.

Note to Gov. Andy Cuomo – Don’t even think of taking a vacation day. Or a sick day. Or compensatory time off. Forget about overtime pay or taking a benefit of any sort. Political fundraisers while in office are especially over. There is no more time and no more cash. You are going to serve or you are going to hear it like Gov. Christie, who appears to have a bit if a thicker skin than thou.

It is quite apparent that Governor Christie does not enjoy his job. Or maybe there is another area in his life that is “lacking”. He is just not a good fit for the position (no pun intended).

Another one term Governor. Each one worse than the last :(

I don’t begrudge Gov. Christie his vacation, and I don’t begrudge Lt. Gov. Guadagno hers. Where I have a problem is with both of them being out of the state at the same time. The Lt. Gov. gets a salary, benefits, an office, a staff, a security detail, and who knows what else, all paid for by the taxpayers, and she didn’t see fit – for whatever reason – to fulfill the only real purpose for the position existing in the first place, which is to assume the duties of the governor when he’s out of the state.
