NY Man Arrested For Fleeing Police

WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (AP) — A Long Island man has been arrested and charged with fleeing from police and crashing into a police cruiser.

Suffolk County police said Robert Wilcox of Copiague was driving on Route 109 in West Babylon early Monday morning when police tried to pull him over for a traffic violation.

Police said Wilcox fled and crashed into a police vehicle. They say he continued driving before abandoning his car and fleeing on foot.

Police arrested him a short time later and charged him with criminal mischief, unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle and reckless driving.

He was scheduled to be arraigned later Monday.

    Um, why is this news? This must be some secret spy ring type message. Jason Borne will read it know not to go to Copiague using route 9. There is no other reason why this should even be a story.
