BALTIMORE (AP) - Wayne Rooney’s younger brother John has been selected by the New York Red Bulls on the second round of the Major League Soccer draft.

Having already signed with MLS, the younger Rooney worked out for scouts last week in Florida and was taken by the Red Bulls on Thursday.

John is a 20-year-old midfielder who has played for Macclesfield Town in England’s League Two. He joins a roster that includes Thierry Henry and Rafael Marquez.

Wayne Rooney is a star forward for Manchester United and England’s national team.
