WCBS 880 Connecticut Bureau Chief Fran Schneidau reports
Bysiewicz made the announcement Tuesday.
The 49-year-old Democrat from Middletown tells The Associated Press she's running to create jobs, fix the economy and make it easier for young people to get jobs, afford homes and raise families in Connecticut.
Bysiewicz was a leading candidate for governor last year before switching to the state attorney general's race. She was later disqualified from the attorney general's race by the state Supreme Court because she didn't have the required legal experience.
A message left with Lieberman's office was not immediately returned.
