OAKDALE, NY (WCBS 880) - 8-year-old Liam Peacock of Oakdale is a Pittsburgh Steelers fan in a family where mom, dad, and brother, in fact the entire neighborhood, are all Jets fans.

WCBS 880 Long Island Bureau Chief Mike Xirinachs reports

“A bunch of people from here say to me, ‘Hey, Liam, why are you a Pittsburgh fan? You’re in New York.’,” Liam told WCBS 880 Long Island Bureau Chief Mike Xirinachs.

Though it can be a bit rough sometimes Liam’s parents, Krista and Michael, say it’s all in good fun.

“It makes it very exciting for game day,” said Krista.

Michael said, “It makes it fun in this house, not to mention, if one team loses the other team wins, we’re rooting for both teams at that point… J-E-T-S!”

“Steelers, Steelers, Steelers,” chanted Liam.

In this family, everybody wins.

The Jets take on the Steelers in Pittsburgh for the AFC championship this Sunday at 6:30 p.m. on CBS.
