NEW YORK (WFAN) – New York Jets wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery joined Joe Benigno and Evan Roberts on Tuesday morning to lament Sunday’s AFC Championship loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“That was probably one of the toughest losses that I’ve had since I’ve been playing football, and I started playing when I was seven years old,” Cotchery said. “It still hurts, it feels like the game just happened last night.

“You have to move on and get better from it, and keep striving towards the goal.”

The Steelers eliminated the Jets on Sunday with a gutsy 24-19 win in the AFC Championship Game.

They overachieved. They were not as good as they thought they were. They won’t have as good a won-lost record this coming year as last season if the whole season is played.
