B&C Show Blog & Audio: Boomer Freaks Out

It's the Tuesday before Super Sunday here in New York, so with that said; we are all preparing for more wonderful winter weather, lucky us. As far as the world of sports, today's landscape was multi-tiered, beginning with the mess that surrounds those 'Not So Amazin' Mets. Craigie did his homework, visiting the library yesterday afternoon and because of that, he entered the studio prepared to peel back the many layers of this complicated financial issue with the help of his radio partner. Speaking of Boomer, he was a little off today after freaking out in the MRI tube yesterday afternoon. I don't even know what to say about that…well, one word does come to mind – Embarrassing. And oh yeah, the Packers and the Steelers have arrived in Dallas as the get ready to play in the biggest game of their lives. So between the never ending snow, the Mets issues, Boomer's meltdown & the Super Bowl preparation, they guys had a full plate (metaphorically speaking), which works out well in the radio business…

Erin Arvedlund is the author of 'Too Good to be True – The Rise and Fall of Bernie Madoff' and according to her, the writing has been on the wall for a while, as far as the Mets need to sell, at least a share of the Mets. She joined B&C this morning to talk about her book and try to shed some more light on the complex financial situation…

Angel Pagan signed a one-year, $3.5 million contract with the Mets yesterday to play a position in the outfield, which is still yet to be determined. He played the majority of last season in center, but says he is not opposed to moving to one of the corner spots to make room for Carlos Beltran if need be. He joined B&C in-studio to talk about his new deal and give them his thoughts on the upcoming campaign for the Mets. He believes if they stay relatively healthy, the Mets can compete, as for what they will be competing for is anyone's guess…

There was quite a commotion around the FAN early this morning because someone inexcusably took Tracy Burgess' brand new ear buds from the B&C, All-State Studio. To say Tracy was livid would be putting it mildly and since she was so worked-up, B&C were determined to find the culprit and restore order. They brought the great John Minko into the studio to question him on the disturbing matter, because he was in the studio yesterday and they suspect that he may have mistakenly grabbed the headphones while departing…
