WCBS 880's Rich Lamb has comment from Mayor Mike
Off-mic and unaware it was being recorded, his honor called the animal a son of a something we really shouldn't be printing here.
When a Reporter asked him about the salty words, he said, "I don't think that's correct. I didn't use any salty language at Groundhog Day whatsoever."
But as he thought about it further...
"I don't think I used any salty language. On the other hand, I think it's also true that you really don't have standing to talk about this unless you have been personally bitten by a groundhog. Those of us that have, have an ability to understand the issue, to address it clearly."
He added, we ask forgiveness for the rodents that do these dastardly things.
In 2009, Chuck bit the mayor.
