Donald came into my life when I was just a youngster at 10 years old. He taught me many valuable lessons over the years, my favorite being how to do the proper load of laundry! I loved and admired him and always enjoyed all his wonderful stories about his adventures as a CBS Cameraman. What a life! Best of luck in your new journey my dear friend!

Don was an exceptional talent. I was a field producer and on the weekends would often have him as my cameraman. He was meticulous and took “NO PRISONERS.” In that he knew what was needed and wasted no time getting the shot. Don also knew fine cuisines from every borough. I was always intimidated by Don because he had an uncanny way of trying to see if you knew what you were doing. And then he’d say, “Don’t worry! I don’t bite.” His art for videos will be missed. rip.

Don was a dear friend to me and my family, we spent many weekends together at my home in upstate new york, Don appreciated the best that life had to offer, and gave back much more than anyone can imagine. Don became an uncle to my son and a best friend to my wife, he adored my youngest daughter who is only 2 years old. she will never get to know Don personally but will be reminded of him often through the photos and stories about Don that will last forever. I spoke with Don last week and he wants everyone to know that he was happy to have had the career that CBS offered but above the work and office politics……Don was happy to have met all the co workers and people that he became friends with through out his career. If you had the pleasure of being associated and friends wilth Don you are one of the luckest people on earth.

Thanks Don, for all the laughs and your wonderful friendship.

Don Janney lived life to the fullest. A lot of girls chased him in his prime, but he never did settle down — he had too much living left to do.

R.I.P. Don. Thanks for the fun mornings we had!
