Hoxie used her job as a top executive to obtain insider information about the company's earnings and passed it on to her boyfriend who tried to peddle to hedge fund traders.

She was hear on tape telling her boyfriend that what she wanted was a nice designer pocketbook and a nice pair of designer shoes. What she got in the end was a sentence of three years probation and community service.

Judge Hellerstein showed great compassion for the young woman who got way off track.

He noted she is now barely scraping by - - waiting tables, two jobs - - and the judge believed her when she said she wants the chance to be an all around good person.
