B&C Morning Show: Ron Darling And Keith Hernandez Preview 2011 Mets

There are plenty of questions regarding the Mets going into this season. Ron Darling joined Boomer & Craig this morning to try and answer at least a few of them.

Darling is, of course, an analyst on SNY, the TV home for the Mets. Judging by his tone, I think it’s safe to assume he likes what he has seen from the team thus far under new manager Terry Collins, saying it’s clear he has had a very positive influence on the club to this point.

Of course spring training is one thing and the regular season is another, but according to Darling, early returns are good and Mets fans should be excited about their team today and throughout the season…

When Keith Hernandez heard that his SNY broadcast partner Ron Darling was going to be on this morning with Boomer & Craig, he immediately demanded that he to have the chance to talk with the ‘Dynamic Radio Duo’.

So with that said, Hernandez joined Boomer & Craig after being forced to listen to Al’s latest song. Similar to Darling, he doesn’t think the Mets will be as bad as many people are predicting they might be…

    I think the only way the Mets can win over 90 games, will be if they first can do better in one run ballgames, and they must get good starting pitching. If Santana can come back and give the some good starts, knowing that they might get nothing from him too. So it may be a good thing to not expect anything from them, they might just have a good year.
