Weekend Movie Wrap: Hop, Insidious, Source Code

NEW YORK (CBS 2) -- Not one, but two films may have you on the edge of your seat this weekend, Katie McGee reports.

"Hop" is the story of EB, voiced by Russell Brand, the son of the Easter Bunny. While dad wants him to take over the family business, he has other plans.

"I wanna drum in a band, I wanna see the world," he said.

The hard-rocking hare heads to Hollywood where he's reluctantly taken in by Fred, voiced by James Marsden. But when the Easter factory is taken over by a bird gone bad, EB and Fred are on the case.

Also in theaters is "Insidious."

Rose Byrne and Patrick Wilson are a couple searching for answers after their son falls into a vegetative-like state. And after several scary episodes, they turn to a medium with an answer they may not want to hear.

"It's not your house that's haunted, it's your son" the medium said.

And then there's "Source Code."

Jake Gyllenhaal is Captain Colter Stevens, who winds up in the middle of a government experiment.

"Source code enables you to cross over into another man's identity in the last eight minutes of his life," he learned.

Colter has now become Sean Fentriss, a passenger on board a doomed train. He revisits the final moments again and again until he figures out who's behind the blast, before a second and larger scale attack takes place.

Also in theaters is what McGee likes to call "The King's Speech Light." It's a PG-13 version of the best picture winner with most of the bad words in a certain scene between the king and his therapist having been cut.
