Cops Say S.I. Burglary Suspect Has Stolen Cash, Metrocards And Even A Cash Register

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are asking for the public’s help to find a suspect wanted in six burglaries on Staten Island.

Authorities said the man targeted a variety of establishments, including delis, gas stations, a bar and a grocery store.

The incidents date from early February to April 4, when the suspect hit a Citgo gas station located at 5205 Hylan Blvd.

Police said the suspect has stolen money, computer equipment, a cash register, lottery tickets, phone cards, MetroCards, food, tobacco products and perfume.

The suspect is described as white male with a medium build, who was last seen wearing a light-colored T-shirt, a light-colored knit hat and prescription glasses.

Anyone with information in regard to this individual is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).     Why is it when the suspect is white the media will say the suspect is white but when the suspect is an African the media will not label the suspect is black?
