Pies-n-Thighs is no stranger to what makes excellent fried chicken, and it's evident in everything that they serve.  The focus is, of course, fried chicken, but for those who'd like to return to work without greasy smears across their face, smelling of the secret shame that is eating a box of fried chicken all to oneself during a workday lunch, unable to stay awake after such a delicious, heavy lunch, there is the ever glorious chicken biscuit (pictured), for a mere $5.50.  Though made with the bane of fried chicken - a breast cutlet - nestled onto one of Pies-n-Thighs' amazing, fluffy biscuits, and then generously doused in both hot sauce and huge pats of honey butter that melts over everything... there could be no greater earthly pleasure.  None.

Take a moment to look at the burger you see above.  Known simply as the steakhouse burger, topped with caramelized onions and served with French fries, this burger may not change your life, but it will fill you with a fleeting sense of euphoria, while leaving your wallet still pretty happy.  The burger's only $12; wash that all down with a $2 strawberry lemonade.  If burgers don't do it for you, check out the sandwiches ($9) - buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes and spinach with a lemon basil vinaigrette for a vegetarian option, or three herb chicken and sauteed kale with a roasted garlic and horseradish aioli to liven up your senses.  For a fun side, try the "Italian" fries, tossed with parmesan, rosemary and basil, served with roasted garlic aioli.

You might look at the menu at Big D's and think you know the game here, but to call it a Korean BBQ truck would be incredibly inaccurate.  Self-described as "Asian-style tacos and grinders", Big D's offers a lot of bang for your buck, but even better, incredible and innovative flavors.  Try a set of three tacos ($7), filled with your choice of bulgogi (the only passing similarity to what a Korean BBQ truck might offer), spicy pork, ginger chicken or spicy chicken.  Each one comes stuffed inside a warmed tortilla alongside a slice of lime.  For an extra kick, ask to try one of the four specialty sauces that D himself blends fresh every day: soy garlic, spicy mayo, ginger sauce or Big D's secret sauce.  Not in the mood for tacos?  Check out Big D's banh mi-inspired grinders ($7, pictured): choose from the same filling options as the tacos, only this time, served on warm, toasty bread, topped with daikon radish, cucumbers and cilantro.  Special deal: from now until Wednesday, 4/20, mention you read about Big D's on CBSNewYork, and get $1 off any grinder or set of any three tacos!
