Worked the area backed in the late 60’s and early 70’s could be better known for an old Movie Jungle Drums of Africa. But I felt it could have been called Tarzans New York Adventure.

yes 2 more thugs bite the bullet no one will miss them ,,,,,, yeahhhhh

60 and 70’s the height of police integrity in NYC. Do you even need to tap your pension?

An observant, rational person would move out of NYC to locations where criminals aren’t encouraged by strict gun prohibition laws and criminals are harshly punished. The Chinese and some Asian countries deal with violent criminals on the basis of kill or cure; it seems to work better than our system.

Guns are illegal in NYC.All NYPD Police Officers and anyone caring a gun a work should be made to leave the gun at work. This would cut down on crime and make all NYC citizens safer..

    • The Facts

Guns are not illegal in New York City. Crime is illegal.

    • Retired PD

You’re out of your mind if you actually believe what you wrote. In your scenario, the illegally armed criminals would greatly outnumber those legally armed and would use their advantage to wreak havoc with gun crimes. As a retired NY State Police Officer ( and NY State Pistol permit holder), I can can (and do) carry my handgun any where I travel throughout the US and the 62 counties of NY State, including the 5 of NYC. And you should be grateful that there are as many armed retired officers as there are armed on-duty or off duty police officers at any given time to help protect anyone around them.

The precinct boundaries were changed at some point in the 1980s or 1990s. It used to be the case that the border between the 77 and 79 was indeed at Fulton St. Since the change, however, the dividing boundary lies at Atlantic Ave.

Koodos to the officer..this guy can shoot!

Jl..the 77th and 79th meet at Fulton Street..and no, Im not a cop dumb-ass..the precinct is divided accordingly..your parents bred a moron fake assed poster.

Getitright is a moron. The 77 and 79 meet at Atlantic Avenue. North side is 79 and south side is 77. Bed Stuy is north, Crown Heights is south. The crime happened on the north side of the street. No wonder the cops are so dumb!

  • kendra

will i am hoping and praying that he survives..cause i don,t wish death on no 1….

  • Getitright

Atlantic Avenue and Albany Avenue are within the confines of the 77th Precinct which duuuuuuh is Crown Heights. CBS News, who pays its reporters and arm and a leg, get with reporting the news, not what you think it is.. Bedford Stuyvesant is Bedford Avenue to Stuyvesant Avenue and Myrtle Avenue to Fulton Street. That’s Bed Stuy. How do I know all this? I worked at the 79th Precinct, 263-275 Tompkins Avenue, servicing BED STUY
