Cougar Contest Comes To SoHo Friday Night

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Women on the prowl for younger men will go head-to-head as the third annual National Cougar Convention comes to SoHo Friday night.

Cougars, by definition, are attractive older females (think Samantha Jones of "Sex and the City") who frequent clubs and other nightlife hotspots in search of younger men to entertain themselves with.

Friday night's event at Varick Street's Greenhouse nightclub will bring cougars from throughout the country together, as they compete for the title of Miss Cougar America 2011.

The winner will be awarded with a free week at the Hedonism II Resort and also a free berth on the International Cougar Cruise

The party will kick off at 7:30 p.m. with an "entertaining keynote address" from author Rich Gosse, with mixer games and contests to follow.
