New NYC Start-Up Makes Boutique Style Flowers Affordable For Mother's Day

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Struggling to find the perfect Mother's Day gift?

A new New York City-based start-up company is giving you one less reason to skimp on the affection you show to mom this Mother's Day.

H.BLOOM, the first subscription-based personal floral service, delivers high-quality arrangements to members' doorsteps on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis.

By providing online what is typically a high-end boutique experience, the company sees themselves as drastically changing the flower market. Bryan Burkhart, H.BLOOM's CEO, compares the company to a different New York City staple.

"Starbucks completely changed the coffee market by making a luxurious espresso experience affordable to the masses," Burkhart said. "We have the very same opportunity in the flower market."

Prices start at $35 a bundle which includes arrangement and delivery.

H.BLOOM offers an "Arrange Your Own Collection" option, in which a video tutorial coaches you through creating a personalized bouquet alongside the company's creative director.
