COMACK, NY (WCBS 880) – Mother’s Day is this weekend and if you haven’t bought mom that perfect present yet, you still have some time.
For many, flowers are the number one gift to get mom on Mother’s Day. In fact, 1-800-Flowers’ Comack shop owner Linda Corazza says Mother’s Day is her second-biggest holiday of the year after Valentine’s Day.

But if you’re not in the market for flowers, Corazza recommends long-lasting plants that can be enjoyed by mom year-round.
“You can do beautiful plant baskets. We have arrangements that are pre-made that you can come and pick out,” Corazza told WCBS 880’s Mike Xirinachs.
Her only advice is to get your order in early. Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 8.
