Manhattan Suspect Robs CVS, Stopped At Duane Reade

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Manhattan are asking for the public's assistance to help find a suspect wanted in a commercial robbery and 4 other attempted ones.

Authorities said the suspect enters each business while covering his face with one hand and placing the other hand under his shirt to simulate a gun. The man approaches an employee at the counter and demands cash from the register before fleeing the scene.

The suspect is accused of trying to rob a Starbucks, Cosi, and two Duane Reade stores. His only successful robbery came on Sunday May 8 at a CVS, located at 320 5th Avenue.  The suspect got away with an undermined amount of money. He also tried to rob a Duane Reade a few hours later on the same day, but was unsuccessful.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 35-45 years old, approximately 5'7''-6'0'' and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray sports jacket, blue jeans, a black baseball cap and dark sunglasses.
