B&C Morning Show: Yankees' Freefall Continues

The Yankees held a 5-1 lead over the Rays last night in Tampa. Then A.J. Burnett imploded in the 6th and the Bombers were handed their 6th straight loss.  The Yanks now find themselves in a three-way tie for 2nd place with the Red Sox and Blue Jays. All three teams trail the 1st place Rays by 3 games.

Craig, who is the founder of the controversial "Mets Fans for Yankees Church" (which usually opens just after Labor Day), began today's Radio Program talking about what he believes could be the demise of the "Evil Empire."

Between all the losing and the off-field matters, spearheaded by the ongoing Jorge Posada saga, the Yankees are clearly in a bad and unfamiliar place.

As for the Mets, after a rain delay they lost 2-1 in 11 innings to the Marlins and according to Craig, the organization did everything in their power to see that the game was not played (can ya' really blame them???).  On top of that, David Wright has a stress fracture in his lower back and a trip to the DL seems likely.

So a pretty grim picture painted as far as New York baseball is concerned (makes me happy I'm a Phillies fan - holla!!!) and Boomer & Craig broke it all down to open up today's edition of the "Morning Extravaganza"...
