Poll: New Yorkers Want Property Tax Cap
The Siena College poll said the next priorities should be an ethics reform law followed by extending rent control laws in New York City.
Legalizing gay marriage came in fourth.
After that, New Yorkers who took part in the poll say they want to see an independent commission created to redraw election district lines more fairly.
All of those issues are among the topics being negotiated behind closed doors now in Albany.
Siena questioned 897 registered votes from May 11 to Tuesday. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points.
