Yankees Joba Chamberlain Heading To The Disabled List
NEW YORK (WFAN) - Joba Chamberlain has been placed on the disabled list with a strained flexor muscle, Joe Girardi said on Wednesday.
Chamberlain will be out at least 10-14 days and then may resume throwing. After resuming throwing his return will be three to four weeks away at a minimum.
Girardi said that Chamberlain likely has been pitching with the issue for a short while.
Hector Noesi was sent to Triple-A. Amauri Sanit and Jeff Marquez (claimed today from White Sox) were called up.
