A Look Back At This Year's Big Broadway Hits

NEW YORK (CBS 2) -- It's Broadway's big night. The Tony Awards kick off tonight at 8pm at the Beacon Theatre to award the top honors on the Great White Way.

It's also the time we look back at the year that was on Broadway. It was another billion dollar year on Broadway with more than 12 million people seeing shows, both up more than 5 percent from last year.

As we get ready for the Tonys, we want to take a look at some of the top categories. There is a lot of competition this year. Musicals with large nominations include the revival of  "Anything Goes'' with Sutton Foster, "Sister Act'' and "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying'' featuring Daniel Radcliffe and John Laroquette and "The Book of Mormon."
