Hillside, NJ Couple Dead In Apparent Murder-Suicide

HILLSIDE, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Police say a Hillside, New Jersey couple was found dead in their home this weekend in an apparent murder-suicide.

Officials say the couple’s 15-year-old daughter found her mother unresponsive Saturday morning and called her grandmother who then called police.

Inside the house, police found 35-year-old Trecia Lewis’ body on a bed in the upper level and the body of her 45-year-old husband, Richard, was found sprawled in a bathtub.

Union County Prosecutor’s Office spokesman John Holl says investigators believe Richard Lewis killed his wife and then himself.

The couple’s daughter and their 11-year-old son were not hurt.
