Dog Thrown In The Trash In The Bronx Is Recovering

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — A severely emaciated dog that was thrown out with the garbage in New York City is recovering and may soon be put up for adoption.

Animal Care & Control Executive Director Julie Bank says a staffer found the pit bull on May 26 in a large trash bin in the Bronx.

Bank says the dog, named Ella, couldn’t walk when she came in and could barely rasie her head.

Ella is now recovering at a foster home. She’ll be available for adoption once she has put on more weight and has finished her recovery.

Anyone interested in Ella can email the AC&C at info@nyacc.org.

What is going on in this world, so many have become evil with regard to animals. Can we still call ourselves humane? For many, and the person who did this to this dog – NO!
