L.I. Mom Hits Children When Backing Out Of Driveway With SUV
CEDARHURST, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Police on Long Island said two young children were injured as their mother was backing her SUV out of the driveway.
Nassau County police said the children, ages 10 and 2, were playing in the driveway of their Cedarhurst home when the accident occurred at 4:55 p.m. Sunday.
They said the vehicle was in drive instead of reverse when they were hit.
Both children were being treated at a hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The vehicle was impounded for a brake check.
