Lunch Break: More Meal Deals
A few more places that didn't quite make the cut for our Best Restaurant Week deals list in today's New York Lunch Break. By Yvo Sin.

ilili made a splash with its wonderful brunch menu last year, and continues here with Restaurant Week lunch options. Particularly lovely is the choice to make it a flat $20 lunch prix fixe, or add $4.07 to also include dessert. Of course, at that price, why wouldn't you - though those on a diet will surely appreciate the option. Choose from the wonderful Lebanese fare that will be familiar, but not quite the same, to those who have experience with food from this part of the world. Hummus so light and dreamy, labne for the ages... you're in good hands with the ilili menu!
Smith & Wollensky

New York, NY 10017

Choices: you have them here at Smith & Wollensky. The Restaurant Week lunch menu boasts five options apiece for appetizer and entree, meaning the combination choices feel endless. Want seafood? Start with fried calamari and move onto colossal lump crab cakes or grilled salmon. Of course steak is an option, as is roast beef hash, chicken Cobb, or any number of other delights, sure to fill you up. As usual, save room for dessert: bourbon pecan pie has your name written all over it.

White & green asparagus salad with truffle vinaigrette (pictured) tantalizes the senses as a starter here; thankfully, it's also on the Restaurant Week lunch menu. The lunch menu continues with treats like soft shell crab (briefly in season), grilled quail, and your choice of desserts (lemon poppy seed cake with creme fraiche and berries? Yes, please!!). The real deal here, however, is the wine pairings, available for an extra $15 for 3.5 glasses. Take an extra long lunch, or the whole afternoon off: you'll need it to recover from the delicious meal you just ate.
