B&C Morning Show: Grandy Man Goes Deep, Pagan Does The Same; Inge Goes Down

Jerry "Rello" Recco provided a quality cut of Yankees radio play-by-play man John Sterling, who had a good call for Curtis Granderson's 1st inning, 2-run home run last night. It was almost a perfect call, but not quite because he screwed up the count.  Anyway, Granderson (26 HR's) and Mark Teixeira (25) lead the Yankees in home runs this season and Boomer & Craig breakdown the two teammates' production before moving on to Carlos Beltran and Mets.

Mets radio play-by-play man Wayne Hagin called Angel Pagan's game winning blast last night and did a great job from start to finish.  The Mets got the win in come from behind fashion, topping the Cardinals 6-5 in 10 innings.  Jason Bay left the game with tightness in his hamstring and following the game we heard from Mets manager Terry Collins, who could be skipping his last home game with Carlos Beltran on his roster this afternoon at Citi Field.

Then some sad news out of Detroit, as Brandon Inge (who we all like) was designated for assignment by the Detroit Tigers after posting a .177 batting average with 1 home run and 17 RBI's in in 70 games this year.  Boomer & Craig were visibly shaken by the news...
